What causes back acne?
The surface of your back has a-plethora of sebaceous glands that secrete sebum, which is an oily substance. Dead skin cells and bacteria builds up in the hair follicles on your back and clog them. This creates the acne.
What to do to prevent this
- After you workout immediately take a shower to cleanse the sweat off
-Exfoliate to get rid of dead skin cells
-Tea tree oil helps a lot with any type of acne, just make sure to mix it with water if your skin type is sensitive
-Eat lots of greens, having a good diet helps with skin in general
- Drink lots of water
-Always apply sunscreen on your back whenever you're exposing your skin to the sun
