STAY AT HOME DATE NIGHT IDEAS

STAY AT HOME DATE NIGHT IDEAS

It has been pretty difficult to have a nice date night for a while. Many businesses have been closed for months to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. So, going out to the movies or to a concert is not an option.

Whether if you just started living together or if you have been in a relationship for a while you need to work on your relationship constantly. Going out on dates used to be easier before, but now we have to use the resources that we have to have a good time.

It’s important to set a weekly or bi-weekly day to spend quality time together. Sometimes people think it’s easier because you spend all day at home, but if you both work from home and have kids then it’s not that easy. You’ll need to schedule a time of the week to try something different even if you don’t go outside.

1 Play mini golf at home

I used to think mini golf was only available for outdoor locations but it doesn’t have to be that way! You can get a mini golf set and play it at home! Bonus points if you have a yard! it would be a good way to spend the summer!

There are different prices available, they range from $30 to around $400. Maybe you can give a try to the most affordable version and then you can always always upgrade it!

2 Have a game night

Friendship is key when you have a relationship! You want to be with someone that can be romantic, but playful and funny at the same time. Bring out your favorite games, play some music and grab some drinks, your partner can get very competitive while playing but that’s part of the fun!

3 Make dessert together

Try to make a dessert from scratch! Maybe you can make a cake (not the one from the box!) or maybe you can even try to make some ice cream or bread filled with ham inside! There are many options when it comes to deserts and making them from scratch will keep you focus on a new task. Sometimes you can discover interesting things, even if the results aren’t great, at least you’ll try something new together!

4 Try a painting and wine night

Painting and wine dates can be fun! Get a couple of cheap canvases, watercolor or acrylic paint and get your favorite drink ready! You can look up some painting tutorials on Youtube and let yourself relax. It doesn’t matter if you won't be the next Picasso. It’s about enjoying the process and be willing to spend the night with your loved one!

A date night at home, may want you to be more comfortable, but spice it up a bit and wear your favorite perfume or a casual outfit to make it feel more date-like. It can be kinda weird at first, but adding extras is key. Maybe you can light up some candles and dim the lights so you change the look of your place for that special date. You can get a new shirt. Different food. The most important thing that you can bring to the table is being focused on each other and forget any distractions because at the end of the day, it’s all about enjoying your partner's company.
