What we see on the screen it has a deeper meaning, this character represents women from our society who are judge using old concepts, women have always been told that they are weak, that they are very emotional, that they have to behave and look in a certain way, but times have changed and if women stopped listening to others, if they stopped looking for approval and they fight for the dreams they believe in they'd realize that they are real superheroes, this is what the movie is about.
The story doesn't need too much action since it has more things to show: a superhero who delivers girl power to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with things to bring to the table for Avengers: Endgame.
The light side: Great performances, fun jokes and if it has good things to say about women.
The dark side: it doesn't have as much action as it is shown on the trailer.
